History

The time between uploading an application and waiting for approval is the scariest period. On April 28th, 2020, my mobile app Music Rater went live on Google Play Store. I was excited about this project. After publishing it, I immediately started thinking about other apps I could develop and share with the world.

Why did I create Music Rater?

There was a point in time when I was asking for music suggestions. I would do this a lot and not get too many responses. I figured there had to be a better way and thought, why not create an app where people could share music and rate it. And that was the birth of Music Rater.

Why am I shutting it down

When I first created the application, it sounded like a great idea. But as time went on, I realized it was too niche, and there’s only so much you can do with the application. Coming up with ideas/features has also stagnated. While it hurts me to share the info, I feel it’s the right step to take at this point so I can focus on my other apps.

What’s the future

I have two other apps on Google Play Store, which I will continue to support and update with new features. If you enjoyed music rater, I have a new application in the works, which I envision as a more mature version of Music Rater. When will this application be out? I am anticipating closer to summer 2022.
